I keep hearing people talk about Washington and Washingtonians. I perk up thinking that I will hear something about home, but then I realize they are talking about D.C!
I've been disturbed - they can't be Washingtonians! They do not come from Washington State! They all like to say they are from the "District" anyways....
This disturbed me enough that I went to Merriam- Webster for my answer. Didn't really help, in fact I guess it means we are both right, they just assume since they are so far apart no one would get confused... leave it to me.
